ACADEMIC SUBMISSION DATES
(L4/L5 Engineering, Business, ILM)
Dear students
Welcome to your new academic year.
Please see below for important Key dates for the year ahead.
Academic start date: 1st September 2023.
Academic end date: 1st July 2024 (last date to submit outstanding assignments)
We have updated the following for the new academic year:
- Assignment briefs – please familiarise yourself with the submission format (page 2) If you do not meet the standard requirements your assignment will be rejected. (Eng/business course specific)
- Assignment briefs – new scenarios and tasks (Eng Specific)
- Assignment submission tutorial video (Eng/business course specific) upload pending
- Policies and Procedures (Eng/business course specific)
- A new mental health wellbeing information tab (All courses)
Please familiarise yourself with the new updates. Please ensure that you update your study schedule to reflect the Academic end date: 1st July 2024 (last date to submit outstanding assignments)

Please note, if you start a unit, the full unit must be submitted by the end of the academic year (1st July 2024) failure to complete will result in having to start the unit again in the new academic year.
EXAM BOARD DATES.
(L4/L5 Engineering, Business, ILM)
When aiming to complete your last module, please bear in mind that we have specific exam board dates to review your work and claim for certification. Your end of course video must be submitted one week prior to the exam board.
The exam board dates for this academic year are as follows;
Week commencing 13th November 2023
Week commencing 25th March 2024
Week commencing 28TH July 2024
Eng/business students on a HNC only wishing to purchase an HND
Pearson update the framework every seven years.
If you wish to purchase a HND upon successful completion of your HNC.
